You’re sitting at your desk observing the direction of where price is going when you realize you have no idea of knowing if price is in a downtrend or an uptrend.

Why does currency pairs trend?
Price trends to give you the chance to participate in.
Have you ever wanted to enter a trade but could not because the price keeps going up or down and it looks like the price is not pulling back?

The Uptrend
When price is trending upward we call that an uptrend. This basically means that the price on your price chart is moving in an upward direction.
In order for you to be able to place a trade while the price is moving up, it must pull back before continuing it’s movement upward.
The most important thing to remember about the uptrend is you want to be the buyer and not the seller.
When price is trending downward we call that a downtrend. This basically means that the price on your price chart is moving in a downward direction.
In order for you to be able to place a trade while the price is moving down, it must pull back before continuing it’s movement downward.
The most important thing to remember about the downtrend is you want to be the seller and not the buyer.
